Earth Day – 22 April 2012

On April 22nd , from the United States to Bali, via Iceland and Italy,
the Earth Day 2012 slogan for everyone will be “Mobilize the Earth”.
Telespazio and e-GEOS have answered the call with an image captured by one
of Italy’s four COSMO-SkyMed earth observation radar satellites.

Successful launch of the ESA’s third ATV

ATV Edoardo Amaldi lifted off from
Europe’s Spaceport in Kourou, French
Guiana, today at 04:34 GMT (05:34
CET) on an Ariane 5 launcher, heading
towards the International Space
Station. Telespazio (Finmeccanica/Thales)
plays a key role in the third phase
of the ATV campaign – from the launch
through to in-service support.
